Interested in Ringing at First Church?

UPDATE 6/2010! Exact dates for our next rookie bells experience will be announced at a later time. Classes times/date will be negotiated by interested participants. Class could meet weekly on a weekday evening OR during the 9:40am worship hours in the North Suite of the Sanctuary. In order to form a rookie class, there must be AT LEAST 8 adults/high school students enrolled. To date, we only have 3-4 adults interested. The First Church Handbell Ministry is an open ministry. Handbell rookie class sessions are offered as demand dictates. Ask yourself! Are you a handbell ringer "wanna be"? Have you always wanted to learn to read music? Do you read music, but you've never rung bells? Have you rung before but feel you need to dust off your skills? Are you an adult or a 9th-12th grade student willing to make a 4-week commitment to a ringing class? What do you have to lose? Absolutely nothing! There's no performance required! And you have a LOT to gain! Handbell teams are fun and provide a safe and comfortable environment for close relationships and witness through the art of handbell ringing. As you can see from the picture below, handbell friends are truly special friends!
