A Few of the Comments from Our Audience . . .

"Thank you. This particular event always begins my Christmas season! I look forward to the evening each and every year."
"The program was exquisite. Thank you and please thank your ringers for a job well done. It was wonderful."
On Sunday, December 2, the Handbell Ministry of First United Methodist Church Round Rock* presented its annual “Ring Noel” benefit concert. This event took place in the Sanctuary of the church. This year's Ring Noel concert was entitled “BEHOLD” and sought to communicate the importance of the true meaning of the Advent/Christmas season. Members of the Council Oak Bells, Jubilation, Sound of Joy and Revelation Ringer handbell teams will be joined by the sounds of brass, organ, piano, flute, viola, and voice at this celebration of the holiday season. Hundreds of folks in the audience also heard beautiful scripture and were treated to gorgeous video effects during the evening's festivities.
Our 2007 beneficiary was the Round Rock Serving Center. This wonderful organization provides much needed relief to local folks in need. In 2006, a total of 51,297 people were assisted at the Serving Center, and the caseload increased by 26% for programs for under-privileged, low income, and disadvantaged people. The food pantry filled a total 10,911 food vouchers, and 3,710 households were served from the Fresh Food for Families in the parking lot. A total of $224,455 was spent on client services. We are proud to announce that hundres of canned goods and approximately $2200.00 was collected during the evening's festivities.
As a response to the generosity of our audience, Lori C. Scott, Executive Director of the Round Rock Serving Center, wrote the following words of appreciation. "Thank you very much for the donation of $2171.61 to the Round Rock Area Serving Center from the Ring Noel bell concert. . . . We are grateful for your contribution and your compassion to help indigent families. Have a very Merry Christmas!"
Donations can still be made on our behalf to the RR Serving Center. Send your donation check to: Round Rock Area Serving Center/P.O. Box 5006/Round Rock, TX 78664. The clients of the Serving Center struggle to buy food as well as pay bills, and the Serving Center is assisting an average of 1,100 families monthly.
