Adult Choirs - Come Sing with Us!

If you enjoy singing and being a part of a wonderful group of people come join one of the choirs at First Church. Every week there are opportunities for singing and serving through choral ministry. The choirs are comprised of gracious, caring and dedicated people who are also a lot of fun! We work hard but have a great time doing it. We hope you'll join us! Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at 5:45 p.m.for HeartSong and 7:15 p.m. for Chancel Choir in the South Suite Choir Room. Choral Union To Sing at Annual Conference on June 1 

On Sunday, June 1, members of Choral Union will head north on two buses to sing at the evening worship service of the Annual Conference at First United Methodist Church in Ft. Worth. Choral Union will be the service choir and will sing two anthems as well as the service music. The singers are looking forward to a time of comraderie and fun on the way up, a glorious time of worship while there, and a bit of sleep on the way back!

Choral Union Presented Messiah During Christmas Season
Choral Union along with the First Church Orchestra presented the Christmas portion of Messiah at both the 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services on Dec. 9. The 90 voice choir and 34 piece orchestra gifted the congregation with the glorious sounds of Handel's most celebrated work. And it truly was a celebration of the birth of our Lord.

 
Chancel Choir
This adult choir leads worship at the 11:00 am Sunday service using a variety of song styles including 1contemporary works, hymn anthems, traditional sacred music, and a capella choral settings. Members are joined by Heartsong several times a year to form a Choral Union for festival Sundays. They meet on Wednesday evenings from 7:15 pm to 8:45 pm in the south suite of the Sanctuary. Heartsong
This vocal ensemble of adults, specializing in sacred music in contemporary as well as traditional styles, leads praise at the 8:30 a.m. service. Members are joined by Chancel Choir several times a year to form a Choral Union for festival Sundays.
