The Youth Garage Sale was a SUCCESS!

THANKS to all of you who cleaned out your house this spring and donated items to the Youth Garage Sale that was held on Saturday, June 7th! After collecting items for a couple months, we ended up with enough to FILL the Family Life Center absolutely to the brim! Most impressively, we raised over FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS this year to assist youth in the cost of participating our upcoming activities like mission trip and PIZZAZZ. 

Certainly, there was a lot of HARD WORK that also needs to be recognized. Our youth and parents/guardians turned up in volumes to help move furniture, sort items, and organize the overall appearance of our garage sale "store." THANK YOU to all of you who chose to participate in this garage sale. For, it indeed turned out to be much more than just a fundraiser!

In fact, this year's garage sale not only raised funds,  but provided a grand-scale exchange for people in this community. For the weekend's workers it was fun to see how "one person's trash is another person's treasure." As the boxes of donations were opened, youth found everything from an antique sewing machine to a skip-it, roller blades and a game of "Funny Bones"! The many donated items brought many smiles to both workers and shoppers throughout the process of the sale.

Additionally, we were able to provide some necessary items to people in the church and community at low cost and were able to minister to and invite many of the shoppers to become a part of our Christian community.

So, again, THANK YOU to all who participated in this effort as we were pleasantly surprised by its tremendous success.
