Middle School Mission Trip, July 19 - 24

The First Church middle school students will follow Christ’s example by becoming His water and His light for a parched and unseeing world as they work in mission this July. We will flow into the community of Mansfield, TX during the week of July 19th – 24th. Our goal will be to serve and shine the light of Christ into the lives of those He calls us to.

YOU are invited to join us! If you are currently a 6th – 8th grade student and/or college age and above we welcome your enthusiasm to serve and willingness to answer the call of Christ. If you’ve never been on a mission trip before please consider making this year the one you give a try. Mission trips offer you the opportunity to forge new relationships and strengthen old ones. You will work hard, play hard and worship with abandon for 5 cram packed days that fly by in what seems like seconds. We will be serving through home repair, minor construction and painting. The community is preparing for our arrival and we’ve already met with 12 families that we will be blessed to serve.

There are many financial options available to you. Scholarships are available on a individual basis as well as participants are encouraged to have friends and family members partner with them in this experience through the selling “Stock”.

  1. Registration is on-line and very simple.
  2. Log on to ctcym.org or follow the link on the youth summer mission page. If you’ve registered with Glen Lake camp before, you will use that same User ID and password.
  3. Review the Welcome Message
  4. Add Participants
  5. Choose a Trip – JR High
  6. Family and Participant Information. The first time you register a participant, you will complete a family profile with all of the necessary contact information. Next, you will enter information specific to the individual participant. Be certain that you choose “Round Rock FUMC” under church selection and “Work Team Youth” or “Work Team Adult” for type of participant.
  7. Review and/or Add Another Participant
  8. Checkout
  9. Print/Complete Release Form. This must be notarized and returned to the conference office. There are copies of this form in the youth office and the church has a Notary Public on staff during normal business hours.

On-Time Registration: May 7, 2009 - $210
Late Registration: after May 7, 2009 - $225
Transportation Fee: July 1, 2009 - $50
