Technical Ministries
Do you have special skills related to computers, photography, video, or running a sound/light board? If so, we have numerous serving opportunities for which you might be well suited.
Sound Technician
Run the sound board, microphones, ensure that the speaker is “miked”, balance the band during rehearsal, troubleshoot any technical problem regarding sound or sound quality. Some skills preferred, but we’ll train any responsible person with a musical ear. For CrossRoads (AM or PM), contact Andy David at 255-3336 or andy@fumc-rr.org. For the Sanctuary services, contact Rev. David Adkins at 255-3336 or pastor@fumc-rr.org.
Camera Operator
Record video on digital cameras for use in promotional videos, worship, etc. For the Sanctuary services, contact Rev. David Adkins at 255-3336 or pastor@fumc-rr.org. To volunteer to film special projects such as Moments of Mission videos, contact Laura Naiser, Director of Discipling Ministries at 255-3336 or laura@fumc-rr.org.
Video Technician
Run the projectors for the service with the MediaShout software on the sound booth computer. This often includes running slides during rehearsal, inputting new songs, changing the order of songs already inputted, adding video backgrounds as well as video clips, and of course running the projectors during the service. For CrossRoads (AM or PM), contact Andy David at 255-3336 or andy@fumc-rr.org. For the Sanctuary services, contact Rev. David Adkins at 255-3336 or pastor@fumc-rr.org.
Lighting Technician
Run the lights for the CrossRoads (AM or PM) service, and this person is often used during the rehearsal to find appropriate light levels for different songs, and to help the sound engineer. Contact Andy David at 255-3336 or andy@fumc-rr.org.
IT Volunteers Needed
Does PHP, HTML, POP or POSTFIX mean anything to you? If so, you may be able to help our newly forming team of IT volunteers. Interested? Contact it@fumc-rr.org and let us know your level of expertise, what areas you would be interested in, and how much time you have to devote. Your computer skills could be a valuable ministry to this congregation!
