Teaching and Facilitating

Has God equipped you with the ability to understand, clearly explain, and apply the word of God in such a way that is clearly understood by others? Do you find it rewarding to assume long-term personal responsibility for the spiritual welfare of a group of believers by nurturing and guiding them toward on-going spiritual maturity. Then one of the serving opportunities listed on the Teaching/Facilitating/Mentoring page is probably well suited for you. We have opportunities to teach, facilitate, and/or mentor Adults, Youth, and Children.

Adult Groups

Teach and/or facilitate short and long-term classes
Contact Laura Naiser, Director of Discipling Ministries to discuss what types of classes you would be interested in leading. Examples of types of classes for which leaders are needed are: Serving From the Heart, Disciple Bible Study, Companions in Christ, and a variety of short-term studies. etc. Laura may be reached at at 255-3336 or laura@fumc-rr.org.

Youth Groups

We have opportunities to work with both Middle School and High School students. There are opportunites to work with large groups as well as small, short-term as well as long-term groups. For information regarding Middle School opportunities, contact Jennifer Rybaski at jennifer@fumc-rr.org or 255-3336, ext. 132.

Groups in the Children's Ministries

Opportunities abound for adults to share their love for God with the children of our church. Teachers are needed for children in the two year old classes and Two by Two at all three hours on Sunday morning. Teachers and shepherds are also needed for elementary age children in Walk of Faith at the 9:40 hour. Community Groups

Williamson County Literary Council Tutor -- assist those who need help in reading and other basic skill sets, as well as preparing participants for earning their GEDs. Volunteers will be trained and materials will be provided. The commitment is just three hours a week.
