If you are gifted at leading people, casting a vision, have the ability to understand what makes an organization function, and have the ability to plan and execute procedures that accomplish the goals of a ministry, then you are well suited to the serving opportunities in the Administrative/Leadership section.

Council/Committee member
(Church Council, Finance, Staff/Parish Relations, Trustees, Communication, Nurture Council, Outreach Council, Witness Council, Kids For Christ Council, Youth Council, Adult Ministries Council) Persons are nominated by the Committee on Lay Leadership to serve on these committees. These positions generally require a high level of commitments with regard to time and energy. If you believe God is calling you to serve in one of these roles, please contact a member of the Lay Leadership Committee.

Program Coordinators
Coordinators for various programs within the church (Disciple Bible Study, Women’s Bible Studies, Men’s Bible Studies, Companions in Christ, etc.) If you have a passion for a particular ministry area and would like to serve as a coordinator for that area, please contact the church office at 255-3336.

Outside Christmas Decoration Group
The Nurture Leadership Team (NLT) is establishing an Outside Christmas Decoration Group to plan, design, construct, and/or erect decorations on the campus for Christmas 2007. This group will begin planning now so that any advance planning needs can be met. While this group will work with the NLT, it will also work with both the Witness Leadership Team and the Outreach Leadership Team to coordinate our campus-wide Christmas decoration for 2007. Anyone with ideas about outside Christmas decorations is eligible to serve. No construction talent or physical abilities are required. If you are interested in serving on this group please contact Rich Thompson – rich.thompson@sbcglobal.net  – or 251-0082.

Senior Activities Group
The Adult Ministries Council (AMC) is establishing a Senior Activities Group at First Church. The AMC anticipates having a small group of people who plan and arrange for implementation of various senior activities/events. This group could, but would not necessarily, be responsible for leading the actual individual activities/events or they could find others to be responsible for that. If you are interested in serving on this group please contact Rich Thompson – rich.thompson@sbcglobal.net  – or 251-0082.
