Family Camp

Join Us at Winter Family Camp: January 23-25, 2009

First Church Round Rock will team up with St. John’s United Methodist Church in Austin to reserve the Singing Hills site at the HEB Foundation Camp near Leakey from Friday evening, January 23 until Sunday, January 25 around noon. We had 95 people attend previous Winter Family Camps (over 30 were from First Church). We all spent a great, restful weekend at this 1900+ acre encampment on the Frio River in the gorgeous Texas Hill Country. After the hectic Christmas season, this is a wonderful opportunity to relax, worship, and marvel in the beauty of God’s creation.

Each cabin is centrally heated and has its own hot showers, so don’t let the word “camp” make you think we rough it. We all spread out in the huge gathering room by the fire, read a book, hike, play games, paint, talk with new and old friends, or reflect on the scenery. There are group devotionals, singing, and plenty of free time to take in the surroundings.

• Activities Coordinator
• Registration Table
• Sunday Morning Worship

Summer Family Camp was June 12 - 15, 2008! Watch for 2009 Dates

Start your summer off right! Please join us for a fun, relaxing weekend at a 1900+ acre encampment on the Frio River in the gorgeous Texas Hill Country. Swim, canoe, hike, read a book, play games, paint, talk with new and old friends, or simply reflect on the beauty of God’s creation.

First Church Round Rock plans to team up with St. John’s UMC in Austin to reserve the Linnet’s Wing and Comanche Outpost sites at the HEB Foundation Camp near Leakey for our Summer Family Camp.  Bring a friend or a group of friends to share the peaceful experience. You will love it!

The cost is only $25 per adult or child 13 and over, $15 per child 4 – 12, and free for children 3 and under. This is the total cost for four days and three nights including eight meals! The reason it is so low is that HEB generously allows us to use the camp for free. 

You can download a PDF Registration Form or a Microsoft Word Registration Form(or pick one up at the church in the Sanctuary foyer or outside Office 118 in Building 5). The Word file can be filled in an e-mailed to the address on the form.
