Becoming Married
Dr. Roger Q. Harmon is offering a five week study on the topic Becoming Married.
This study is designed for:
- couples planning to be married in the future,
- for those who have made no concrete plans for marriage but for whom marriage is a consideration,
- for persons who want to know more about the many ways in which becoming married creates changes in our own person,
- for married couples interested in understanding the negotiations that occur in a marriage.
- for couples who are in an established relationship for whom exploration of deeper issues is of interest.
Participants will explore such questions/topics as...
- What are the steps and stages necessary to begin and to follow through with a rewarding marriage?
- What essentials from our faith commitment could be part of such a commitment?
- What does Christian Theology say about marriage as an existential encounter?
- What are the existential moments from our family of origin that need attention as we move from singleness into marriage?
- What conclusions can we draw from our family of origin about the nature of nurture in our marriage?
These and other intriguing questions will be raised, explored and presented.
