2009-10 Disciple Classes

The following  long-term (traditional) began In September 2009. Over 100 people are studying the Word of God in the Disciple program this year. Please keep them in your prayers. 

 

Disciple I - Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study
Disciple I is the prerequisite to all long-term or traditional studies in the program. If you are new to the program, begin here with a 34 week overview of the Bible, learning anew to interpret and apply Scripture to daily life.

Disciple II - Into the Word Into the World
Disciple I is a prerequisite for this class consisting of eight weeks in each of the books Genesis, Exodus, Luke and Acts concentrating on our ministry into the world.

Disciple III - Remember Who You are
Disciple III is made up of sixteen lessons in the prophets and sixteen lesson in the letters of Paul. Various themes are used to make a connecton between memory and identity as the people of God. Disciple I is a prerequisite for this class.

Disciple IV - Under the Tree of Life
Disciple IV participants will spend 32 weeks studying The Writings in the Old Testament and John, James, Jude and Revelation in the New Testament. This class emphasizes worship and living toward the promise laid out in Revelation. Disciple I is a prerequisite for this class.

Christian Believer
This 30 week study is different from other traditional Disciple Bible Study classes. It presents, explains and interprets Christian doctrine as we learn the basic teaching of the church universal. The cost is $65 and includes your workbook and a reading book containing writings of theologians as they help us understand the doctrines. Disciple I is a prerequisite for this class.

Jesus in the Gospels
This 30 week study compares and analyzes our Gospel passages. It is available to graduates of at least three Disciple classes.
