2010 - 11 Disciple Classes

The following  long-term (traditional) Disciple classes begin in August 2010. 
 
Please Note: Class Facilitators and Classes are subject to change based on demand until orientation begins!

New Class for Youth! Disciple Bible Study for Youth
A new class is being formed for high school students only! This class will meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 and will be led by Reverend Lee Trigg. Interested students and parents are encouraged to contact Rev. Trigg at 255-3336 or lee@fumc-rr.org. Class size is limited and the fee has been reduced for this class to $20 for one semester. Disciple I - Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study
Disciple I is the prerequisite to all long-term or traditional studies in the program. If you are new to the program, begin here with a 34 week overview of the Bible, learning anew to interpret and apply Scripture to daily life. These classes begin the week of August 23, 2010. Cost for this class is $55.

It is not too late to be added to a Disciple 1 Class on Wednesday mornings, facilitated by Rev. Lee Trigg. If you are interested in joining this class, call Keitha Wilson, 244-7633 or Jennifer Hall, 244-0657 now! Class orientation is Wednesday, August 25.

Disciple II - Into the Word Into the World
Disciple I is a prerequisite for this class consisting of eight weeks in each of the books Genesis, Exodus, Luke and Acts concentrating on our ministry into the world. These classes begin the week of August 23, 2010. Cost for this class is $55.

Disciple III - Remember Who You are
Disciple III is made up of sixteen lessons in the prophets and sixteen lesson in the letters of Paul. Various themes are used to make a connecton between memory and identity as the people of God. Disciple I is a prerequisite for this class. Cost for this class is $55.

Christian Believer
This 30 week study is different from other traditional Disciple Bible Study classes. It presents, explains and interprets Christian doctrine as we learn the basic teaching of the church universal. The cost is $65 and includes your workbook and a reading book containing writings of theologians as they help us understand the doctrines. Disciple I is a prerequisite for this class.
