What could the People of God do for the Kingdom of God if they were debt free?
Have you ever been tempted to place God on the backburner? Maybe the worries and cares of your life seemed so important that you failed to prioritize the Lord, to place Him first?
Often, this is evident in the way we manage the resources God has given us. The Bible tells us, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” As church leadership, we want to provide a way in which all of us will learn to become better stewards. The Momentum program, based on the Financial Peace University (FPU) classes taught by Dave Ramsey, will challenge us to change the culture of stewardship at our church. Momentum is not a fundraising campaign. Momentum is about freeing God’s people so that we can have fewer barriers in our lives to do whatever He asks.
In January 2010 the entire church will be encouraged to enroll in the Financial Peace University program. Each class begins with a challenging and entertaining large group time, featuring Dave Ramsey’s teaching on DVD, followed by small-group discussion. The
small-group time is when application and discipleship takes place.
What can you expect from Financial Peace University?
• Improve communication and lessen conflict in your marriage.
• Remove the fear of financial hardship.
• Experience the connection and life change that comes from participating in a small group.

Our 10 minute preview classes are being conducted on January 17 & January 24 following each church service. The Financial Peace University classes will then begin the week of February 7, 2010. Our vision for this program is to have a focused intensity over time, multiplied by God, to create a momentum that results in the sharing of the love of Jesus Christ.
We will offer seven different classes beginning the week of February 7. The cost is $107 per family.
