Sunday Evening Worship - Come and Experience Taizé
06/07/2007Our June 17th Sunday evening worship will be a Taizé worship service which includes candlelight, prayers, readings, silence, and soft music with repetitive words led by keyboard and flute, or violin, and other instruments. The service is very meditative and offers a wonderful opportunity to be silent and center on The Lord. Come as you are -- and listen. more

Chicken and Cobbler Sunday - June 3rd
09/03/2006The United Methodist Men are cooking at First Church! Next Sunday, June 3rd is our famous Chicken Sunday, where we roast divinely inspired chickens over an open pit. These chickens, following a short stay at Seminary Farms, have been called to service for the Lord. They are accompanied by the best unleavened Peach Cobbler on God's Green Earth.
