A Guide for Our Guests

We'd love to have you join us for church this weekend. On these pages you'll find information about our services, worship times, what's happening for children, youth and adults, directions, upcoming sermon topics, and much more.

We want to make it easy to get to First United Methodist Church and enjoyable and meaningful when you arrive. We want you to be able to experience the great music, encouraging messages, friendly people and enjoyable atmosphere that are a part of First Church. And we know that your first time at a church, any church, brings up some questions:

How do I get to the church?

What should I wear?
At First Church you'll find that we are more concerned with you than with what you wear. You'll see people dressed in a variety of ways -- everything from "Sunday Best" to ripped jeans and flip flops. So, dress however you are most comfortable and you’ll fit right in.

What is available for my children?
We know that as a parent you need to be sure that your children are in a SAFE learning environment. And we know that your children are looking for a FUN place to learn. We’ve invested a lot to make sure that both of these goals are reached. You’ll see that in the rooms the children and students meet in, and even more in the volunteers who work with your kids. To get more information about the programs for your children visit the pages related to the nursery, pre-school age children, elementary, and youth (middle and high school).

Will anyone help me find my way around the church campus?
Here at First Church, you'll find greeters and ushers who will help you settle in and find your way around. We have an Information Center located in the foyer of the Sanctuary. Here you will find brochures, newsletters, and other helpful information. Check out the Campus Map to get a feel for the layout of our campus. And feel free to ask anyone on campus to help you find your way around. We are excited and honored to have you as our guest and look forward to helping you.
